Qaafow is an athletic guard who has spent the past two seasons playing in the Big V Championship Division for the Melbourne Tigers. In 2011 he was the leagues 13th best scorer at 15.2ppg and added 4.8rpg and 3.3apg. In addition to this the 24 year old has been a development player for the Tigers NBL squad for the past two years and appeared in 14 games over that time.

“I’m looking forward to being a member of the Geelong Supercats, a club with such a rich history. I’m excited and can’t wait to contribute” said Qaafow.

Men’s Head Coach Jamie O’Loughlin is pleased to add Qaafow to the team.

“I have know Yusuf since he was about 13 years old, he played in the state league against various Basketball Geelong Junior teams I have coached over the years. He has always been a very dynamic player, a very hard worker and just a really fun guy to be around, I think he will fit in to our club really quickly”.

In his “rookie” year as head coach in 2010, Jamie could not have asked for a better start carrying off the SEABL South Conference and All Conference Championships. O’Loughlin has was a Supercats assistant coach for several years and brings to the role a wealth of junior and representative coaching experience.

Allen McKee

Allen McKee, “Yappa”: Known to one and all as Yappa, the Supercats long time assistant coach continues to improve the skills and fitness of the team at every opportunity. An outstanding contributor to the club in terms of time and effort, the unflappable yappa has been awarded the Ken Price memorial award for the best club man on three occassions.

Leon O’Neil

Men’s Asst Coach

Leon O’Neil Played 21 games for the Supercats in 1997 and 1999. He has an extensive career at VBA and representative level for Geelong and re-joined the Supercats in 2010 in his inaugural coaching role.

Kyle Vos

Team Manager

Kyle has been assisting in the team manager role for a number of years now, and continues to do so with Morrie Pieper in 2011.

Morrie came on board with the Supercats halfway through the 2010 season as the official team manager. Assisted by Kyle Vos, he continues this role in 2011.
