St Laurence Geelong Supercats star guard Nathan Herbert has been adjudged the best Player of week 13 of SEABL competition on the back of a 40 point performace at the Arena on Saturday night followed by another 30 points in Knox on Sunday. Read on for the SEABL Media Release.

NATHAN HERBERT – Geelong Supercats

Averaging 35pts, 7rebs, 3ass and 3.5stls Nathan Herbert guided the Geelong Supercats to a successful 2-0 weekend and puts his team in a good position to challenge for a top two placing.  Herbert was outstanding all weekend and NBL coaches are sure to be watching his performances in the SEABL as he is a free agent due to the South Dragons pulling out of the NBL.  Herbert recorded 40pts at an unbelievable 70% including 6 from 8 three pointers to guide the Supercats to a 127-110 victory over Dandenong.  Nathan also recorded 10rebs, 3ass and 5stls in this game. The following day on the road at Knox, Herbert produced another quality offensive display recording 30pts, 4rebs, 3ass and 2stls.

Other notable performances were;

• Dusty Jura had a great weekend averaging 31.5pts, 12.5rebs, 2ass and 1blk, including 40pts@50%, 15rebs in the Rangers 110-127 loss at Geelong on Saturday.
  Knox Raiders Lester Strong was outstanding this week with 22pts@63%, 26rebs and 1blk in the Raiders victory on Saturday in Bendigo.  Lester followed it up the next day against Geelong with another 26pts@53%, 15rebs, 2ass and 3blks.
  Daniel Dillon continues to dominate in the league as he averaged 19.5pts, 7.5rebs, 7ass, 2stls and 3blks, helping the Sandringham Sabres to another 2-0 weekend.
  NW Tasmania Sam Armstrong scored 53pts@64% against Brisbane on Friday night including 7 three pointers and also dished out 7 assists, but was unable to guide his team to victory.
