Having earned MVP honours in both matches this weekend, Geelong Supercats guard/forward Ismail Muhammed earns Player of the Week honours. Muhammad averaged 22 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 1.5 blocks and 2 steals. After a slow start to the season Muhammad returned to his 2009 form with a sensational performance this weekend, starting with 18pts@44%, 7rebs, 4ass and 2stls in 28mins of court time on Friday night. Ismail fouled out with 8mins to go, but the Supercats were in full control of the game which they won 106-75. The following night Muhammad played the full 40mins and dominated the game with 26pts@76%, 11rebs, 3blks, 6ass, 2stls and only one foul.

Other notable performances were;
Ryan Bright led Albury/Wodonga to an 82-79 victory over Mt Gambier with 21pts@53%, 12rebs, 3blks, 7ass and 2stls. The following night Bright also recorded 24pts@56%, 12rebs and 1ass in the Bandits disappointing 58-91 loss at Nunawading.
Sandringham Sabres Tom Garlepp continues to dominate the league averaging 21.5pts, 10.5rebs and 2ass in week four.
Fernandez Lockett also received MVP honours in both games this weekend averaging 21.5pts, 11.5rebs, 2ass and 2stls. Lockett played all but one minute in the Cobras 77-60 road victory at Ballarat on Wednesday night with 29pts@75%, 14rebs, 1ass and 4stls.
Brisbane returned from Tasmania with a disappointing 0-2 result, but Ash Cannan can hold his head high as he averaged 33pts, 13rebs and 1.5stls. Cannan recorded 39pts@68%, 15rebs and 2ass in the Spartans 86-92 loss to NW Tasmania on Saturday.
