The St Laurence Geelong Supercats are pleased to learn that Nathan Herbert has recently signed to play with the Adelaide 36ers in the 09/10 NBL season.
The Geelong superstar has developed quickly into a quality NBL player which was underlined recently with a call up to the Australian Boomers squad. He is enjoying another stellar SEABL season with the Supercats averaging 21.6 points per game shooting the ball at and impressive 50%. His three point percentage of 53% underlines why he is one of the most damaging players in the SEABL.
Herbert is pleased to get the opportunity continue his NBL career and is looking forward to playing for the 36ers. “I see this as a great opportunity to further my basketball career and look forward to lining up for the 36ers. I have played well a few times in Adelaide so hopefully I can continue that on a regular basis this season.” Herbert said.
The 36ers full squad and pre season schedule is soon to be finalised leading up to their first game on September 26th. Herbert expects to relocate to Adelaide in the coming weeks however he will be able to continue playing with the Supercats throughout the remaining regular season and finals campaign.
Herbert’s next assignment is with The Supercats when they tackle the Mt Gambier Pioneers at the Geelong Arena this Friday night. This is a must win game for the Supercats as they sit third in their conference and are looking to secure a top two place and a double chance in the finals. Tickets can be purchased in advance on 5277 1711.
