The St Laurence Geelong Supercats are proud to announce that Nick Owusu will play his 150th game for the club on Saturday night against the Dandenong Rangers at the Geelong Arena.
A local star at Basketball Geelong clubs, Sharks and Christian College Eagles, Owusu, started his career with the Supercats in 2004. The milestone places Owusu seventh on the all time list of games played for the Supercats.
Owusu is pleased to achieve the milestone noting his friends play a big part in enjoying the game at an elite level. “It’s nice to be recognized and I am grateful to get the opportunity to play 150 games. I look at the Supercats player photos on the wall at the Arena there have so many great players at this club so to play 150 is a big achievement. The thing I enjoy the most is that I play with my mates and we have achieved some great success together” Owusu said
Nick Owusu career milestones:
• SEABL conference Championships (3): 2005, 2006, 2007
• ABA National Club Championships: 2006
• 905 career points
• 322 career assists
• 455 career rebounds
• 196 career steals (6th All Time)
The Supercats are looking for their eighth win from the past nine games when they take on SEABL newcomer, the Dandenong Rangers at the Arena this Saturday night at 7:30pm before making the trip to Knox on Sunday to tackle a very talented Raiders outfit.
