Brian Goorjian the head coach of the Australian Boomers and new coach of the 'Crazy Johns' South Dragons was in Geelong last Friday night, with Dragon's owner Mark Cowan, to watch the Supercats victory over North West Tasmania and, more particularly, the form of his charge Nathan Herbert.
Nathan has recently signed a deal to extend his contract with the Dragons for a further two seasons. Although Goorgian has seen Nathan play against his former side, the Sydney Kings, he was keen to see him play some major minutes at the SEABL level to give him an idea what he has to work with. In Nathan's typical hard working style, he has been travelling to Melbourne for daily individual practice sessions with Goorgian as well as undertaking his training and playing commitments with Geelong. Goorgian was kind enough to attend last weekend's post match function and address the Supercats crowd on his aspirations for the Dragons in the 08/09 Hummer Championship season. |
