Saturday, 01 August 2009

August 1: St Laurence Geelong Supercats 135 (N. Herbert 28, J. Reardon 25, D. George 20) defeated Brisbane Spartans 109 (C. Goulding 23, G. Vanderjagt 21, T. Demos 16) at the Arena.

The St Laurence Geelong Supercats, in a battle for third position on the Crazy John’s SEABL South Conference ladder, put on an awesome display of basketball at the Arena on Saturday night to inflict only the third defeat for the year on East Conference ladder leaders Brisbane. Sunday, 26 July 2009

July 24: St Laurence Geelong Supercats 94 (I. Muhammad 28, C. Lee 15, N. Herbert 13) defeated Australian Institute of Sport 87 (R. Broekhoff 16, C. Salecich 13, A. Drmic 13) at the Arena.

July 25: St Laurence Geelong Supercats 114 (N. Owusu 26, I. Muhammad 23, C. Lee 20) defeated Albury-Wodonga Bandits 85 (J. Williams 25, M. Gange 14, M. Pearce 13) at Albury Basketball Stadium.

The St Laurence Geelong Supercats travelled to Albury on Saturday night for a tricky match up against the Albury-Wodonga Bandits. While Albury dwell at the bottom of the Crazy John’s SEABL South conference ladder, the game became difficult on the back of a Supercats home victory 94 to 87 over the AIS at the Arena on Friday night. The team conducted their recovery Saturday morning before driving 4 ½ hours up the highway to Albury for the second match of the weekend. The Supercats comprehensively defeated the Bandits by 29 points as they were not behind on the scoreboard at any point of the night.
