May 16: Geelong Supercats 113 (C. Lee 31, I. Muhammad 22, D. George 15) defeated Ballarat Miners 88 (R. Norwood 33, J. Brown 13, B. Carter 12) at the Arena.
The St. Laurence Geelong Supercats controlled the tempo of Saturday night’s game against the Ballarat Miners at the Arena from the start and finished with a comfortable 25 point victory against our regional arch rivals. Meanwhile, in the curtain raiser, the Supercats Legends featuring Jarrod Leonard, Ben Riddle and Chad Rivett defeated the Miners Legends by one point in a hard fought contest.

GEELONG Supercats coach Mark Leader was adamant his side would get better as the season wore on.
And it looks like he'll be proven right.
Struggling at 4-5 after a loss to Hobart on Anzac Day, the Supercats have now strung five straight wins together, including Saturday night's 137-107 smashing of Dandenong.
It followed a 17-point win over North West Tasmania on Friday night, 122-105.

On Friday night, our long time Blood Hyundai Shoot to Win half court shot was made by Supercats member, Gordon Hillbrick. Proudly supported by the Geelong Advertiser, it is the first time in 13 years that the shot has been made. Gordon is the lucky winner of a magnificent Hyundai i30, winner of the RACV’s Australia's best mid-sized car.

May 8: Geelong Supercats 122 (C. Lee 27, I. Muhammad 26, N. Herbert 19) defeated North West Tasmania Thunder 105 (M. Olsen 37, L. McGaffin 20, S. McGaffin 15) at the Arena.
May 9: Geelong Supercats 137 (C. Lee 27, I. Muhammad 25, J. Medved 24) defeated Dandenong Rangers 107 (B. Hobba 37, D. Jura 22, M. Witherden 16) at the Dandenong basketball stadium
The Supercats kicked their 2009 SEABL season into top gear on Friday night at the Arena, combining as a team to post their best total score for the year so far of 122 points to easily account for North West Tasmania 105. If Friday was top gear then Saturday must have been overdrive as the Supercats demolished Dandenong on their home court to the tune of 30 points blitzing their own top score with a season’s best 137.
